2009 Wishes--WARM Wishes from Michigan

To all of you in the point2 family---we are aware that many are not snow covered & frigid at this time in January;
however, we are & more to come on 1 / 17-18.  Do not cry for us all you warm friends as next week one day we are expecting a warm High of 30.  Usually, a mention of 30 is NOT considered warm, but lately when we have below 0 degrees at night it really sounds warm.

If you navigate to our photos, you will see some interesting shots from Jan 11.  I wish that I had taken some on the day that we had 11.5".  A number of these photos  were edited in 'picnik'.  http://picnik.com  Have you tried this site? You can do some fun things there--it has a 'free' & a 'pay' side.  I use the pay site as it is not expensive & so much fun. If you use flickr, picassa, or your computer to 'save photos' you can do this directly from picnik.

A note of interest, the site has been promoted by members on Active Rain web site & 1 day in early Jan. had more clicks than the month of December.  If you have not yet visited the AR site, here are 2 way to do so:
  http://activerain.com  or http://activerain.com/action/referrals/thedteam1978   (that is our site on AR)
This is a Real Estate Network that is open to REALTORS, Agents, Professionals, & Consumers.  Some great education on that site. Do yourself a favor, check it out for yourself.

This post it really the first one that had been typed intentionally to be placed on our point2 Blog. The auto placed posts were written before I knew about a point2 Blog site, so eventually will be deleted here.

Hope that, if you,too, are into photo editing that you will give picnik a try--you will not be sorry & your time will be well spent. Personally, though picnik is different from Photoshop, I like the results better from picnik.
A note to fellow ATT ISP users--Broadband--there have been times that both ATT and Windows have had dueling "error" messages or "...do you want to debug...."  warnings while I have been working with picnik. Good news is that all my photos were still there after 1 of the 2 parties mentioned have kicked me off the program.  Just a note if you have a problem.  I am using XP & do know that Windows is pushing the new Vista, so maybe????

Have fun with both sites that are mentioned above. Grow in the tech  world out there. If you know of other such programs that are similar, please let me know.  I prefer that they be "free" at the beginning so that I can check them out.

One more tech item: I have a program (CD)  "Namo Free Motion" a quick & easy flash program--Not so much!.If anyone out in the point 2 landscape  has used it, can you direct me as to actually 'building' the flash / splash
file that plays in layers; I can do the Banners, & slide shows.

Have fun this winter in point 2 land & to quote a condo Builder that Sal worked with .."get a deal, Buddy Boy, Get a deal...."
